Meet Miranda
Registered Physiotherapist/ Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
BSc Kin, MSc PT
Miranda is a passionate and caring physiotherapist. Her love for physiotherapy began when she was just 10 years old following a sports injury. She went on to obtain her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Guelph-Humber and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.
Miranda’s approach to practice is client-centered care, focusing on individualized treatment in collaboration with the client to meet the client’s specific goals. Miranda prioritizes looking at the whole person, considering not only physical factors but also psychosocial factors. She employs the use of manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and education to empower her clients to meet their functional goals.
She is passionate about treating pelvic health, and has experience treating pelvic girdle pain, incontinence, dyspareunia, peri- and postmenopausal, erectile dysfunction, and dysmenorrhea. She has a special interest in treating pre- and postnatal individuals with a focus on preparation for labour and delivery tailored to the birth plan of the individual, and postpartum recovery. She has also completed training in dry needling with Acupuncture Canada and provides dry needling for the hips, legs, and shoulder.
In her own time, Miranda enjoys listening to music and cuddling up to watch movies with her cat, Ripley, and her Irish Setter, Kipper. Miranda was also a competitive Irish Dancer for 14 years and attended several overseas competitions, including the World Championships, so you’ll often see her humming dance music or tapping her feet!
